As you walk through our entry, on the right you will see three different rooms.
We have a prep room which is available to all year levels. This room is used for tutoring and/or prep time. It can help create a smaller classroom environment for boys to get their homework done.
Just past the prep room we have a games room. This consists of table tennis, pool and foosball tables. There is also a TV in the room with a large couch and bean bags for the boys to relax and watch movies or youtube.
Lastly we have the McCaw room. This room has a gym and a large area for indoor sports. We have squat racks, benches, stationary bikes, cable machines and plenty of dumbbells that the boys frequently use. We also have sports equipment in this room, so on rainy days you can find most of our boys running around playing catch with the rugby ball or passing a hockey ball.
All meals are served in the communal dining hall seven days a week. The dining hall is of sufficient size to hold all boys and staff while we eat as a community. We have our formal dinners, skippers feast and other events in the dining room. The dining hall is also used as a prep room for year levels 1 to 12.
The laundry staff launders all the boys’ clothes. Boys are responsible for placing dirty clothes in the specific bins prior to 8am each morning. All of the boys’ clothing should be clearly named before they arrive at the hostel each year.
School House has access to the school gymnasium and sports ground, including LIttlebourne Park, Roberts Park, Bishops 01.
