Year 13 student Odin Callendar has been selected to represent Dunedin at the upcoming Shanghai International Student Summer Camp this July.
This incredible opportunity comes via Dunedin’s official Sister City relationship with Shanghai. The selection process across the region is highly competitive, and Odin is one of just five students chosen from the entire city to attend.
Odin will be jetting off for a packed, 14-day itinerary designed to immerse him in Chinese culture and international diplomacy. During the camp, he will:
Explore historic and cultural landmarks across Shanghai.
Experience daily life firsthand inside a Chinese classroom.
Connect and build friendships with fellow students representing 70 other sister cities from all corners of the globe.
This is an amazing achievement and a true once-in-a-lifetime experience.
To be selected for such a prestigious international programme is a testament to Odin's character and hard work.
Well done, Odin. We are incredibly proud of you, and we can’t wait to hear all about your adventures when you return. Have an amazing time!
