We are delighted to introduce our new librarian Bridget Schaumann to the school community.
Kia ora koutou,
It’s been lovely meeting lots of the OBHS whānau over the past few days. You can find me in the Library, sharing my passion for reading and reading-related activities.
I am a long-term resident of Dunedin. I went to school here and have lived in the city for many years now, after travelling and working all over the world. I worked at a different boys’ school for 17 years and, most recently, have been working for the National Library. I have three grown-up children, all now out in the world working. My partner and I have a beloved dog called Ted, who is an Instagram sensation. Ted has a cat sibling called Amy, who isn’t always as popular as he is!
I spend a lot of time in my garden, both in Dunedin and in Central Otago. I love reading in all its forms, and I’m an avid fan of audiobooks, spending a lot of dog-walking time with a book in my ears. I like going out in our campervan exploring different places and enjoy lots of different hobbies. I’m currently in a crochet and jigsaw phase.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you over the next little while.
