Practical learning was in full swing on Robert's Field as Dr Thomas’ Year 11 Maths class headed outdoors for a hands-on investigation.
Students tested different frisbee throws — including forehand and backhand techniques — as well as different types of frisbees to determine which method was most effective at hitting a target.
The data collected will be used later this term as part of a 5-credit assessment. Despite the blustery conditions, it was a successful session, with no frisbees (or boys!) lost in the process.
