OBHS Talent Quest '26

Last Tuesday, the senior assembly hosted the final round of the 2026 Talent Quest, showcasing the widest range of talent we’ve seen in four years.

We are excited to announce that the 2026 winner is guitarist Yoda FANG! After wowing the crowd, he took home the Karl Van Betuw Trophy.

Results:

• 1st: Yoda FANG (Highest Placed Musician Award)

• 2nd: Oscar Cadden

• 3rd: Redshift (Highest Placed Group Award)

• Runners-up: Lucas Liu and Autumn Jazz INC

All the contestants raised the bar yet again for the Talent Quest, marking a strong start to NZ Music Month! If you missed the live performances, make sure to check the OBHS Arts Council social media for highlights, and expect a full recording in the coming days.

We couldn’t have done it without the support of many people across the school.
