The combination of opportunities and learning is what we do so well.
This week has highlighted to me the wide range of opportunities we offer and, importantly, how combined they show who we are and what we are about.
This week, we hosted Christ’s College in four very competitive fixtures. This interschool is our longest-running, spanning well over 130 years, and that connection is celebrated as much as any win. Sunday saw a vocal, supportive group gather in the gym for the basketball. On Monday, with the sun shining, the boys were in good voice to watch the football, hockey, and rugby. It was a great result for Otago Boys', winning the interschool overall.
Today we have begun our Wānanga week. The opportunity to learn for a full day in the same subject area is unique in the secondary education sector. While this is easier for some subjects than others, our staff work extremely hard to make these days work. As parents, we ask you to support us through this week by making sure your son attends.
Have a great weekend; I hope to see some of you on the sidelines.
