Learning about ANZAC Day in ESOL

This week the theme for all ESOL students was the history and importance of ANZAC Day.

Our newly arrived students from Argentina learned about the significance of this day, about the solemn message in the poem “In Flanders Fields”, as well as trying traditional ANZAC biscuits. Mahmoud made some poppy wreaths to commemorate the day as well.
