The 2026 Wairua Pūhou Tākaro Māori Holiday Programme was a vibrant and successful two-day event, empowering rangatahi to lead and inspire tamariki through a range of engaging cultural and physical activities while building skills, knowledge, and connections.
Ko te Hōtaka Hararei Tākaro Māori a Wairua Pūhou 2026 he tino angitu, i ārahi ā mātou rangatahi i ā mātou tamariki i ngā kēmu, mahi toi, raranga, tītī tōrea, waiata me te haka. He tino pukumahi ngā rā e rua. I whai wāhi ā mātou rangatahi ki te whakahaere rōpū, ā, i ako hoki ā mātou ākonga i ngā mātauranga me ngā pūkenga hou i a rātou e kaha ana te kori tinana, e ngākau nui ana hoki ki ngā mahi. Ngā mihi nui ki a Sport Otago me Sport NZ mō te pūtea a Tūmanawa hei tautoko i tō mātou kaupapa.
2026 Wairua Pūhou Tākaro Māori Holiday Programme was a huge success with our rangatahi leading our tamariki through Kēmu, Mahi Toi, Raranga, Tītī tōrea, Waiata & Haka. Very busy two days. Our young leaders having the opportunity to facilitate groups and our students learning new knowledge & skills. All while being active and engaged! Ngā mihi to Sport Otago & Sport New Zealand for the Tūmanawa funding to support our kaupapa.
