From Dunedin to Spain

Over the past few days, six of our footballers —Blaine O’Brien, Arrslan Nayle, Lewis Richards, Victor Rivolet, Theo Johnston, and Captain Duncan Guest—have been in Spain preparing for the prestigious Villarreal Yellow Cup.

Representing the Football Otago Youth Development Academy, the boys have been training directly with Villarreal coaches at their world-class facilities.

Outside of training, they’ve immersed themselves in Spanish culture, exploring the historic town of Valencia, visiting the coastal sights of Peñíscola, and touring the iconic Villarreal Stadium. Competition kicks off on April 2nd, and we wish the team the very best of luck on the pitch!
