The Otago Open Days are taking place on Sunday, 3rd May, and Monday, 4th May.
Both the University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic look forward to welcoming students and their whanau to their campuses. The full expo will be run on Sunday as well as Monday. We hope this gives more flexibility for students to plan their itinerary. This also gives flexibility to students who are participating in The Christ's College Interschool. Parents and Caregivers are welcome to attend the Sunday and or Monday sessions with their son. Access to the Colleges of Residences will also be available across these two days.
Instructions for students
1. Year 13 students are to go directly to the Tertiary Open Day on Monday, May 4th.
2. Otago Boys' High School will not be running timetabled classes for Year 13 students at school on Monday.
3. Students are to make their own way directly to Campus lectures and tours.
I will be based at Otago Polytechnic’s joint Career Advisers’ updates session from 9 to 11 am at The Hub - (see the map link below).
From 12 -1 pm, I will be based in The Link, which is the area outside the Central Library at Otago University. If students or parents need to find me, from 1 pm, I will be attending sessions.
The Open Days app will be ready next term, for students and whānau to download before the event. Users will need to register to personalise their app and make the most of its features on the day. You can sign up on the Open Days site. Keep an eye on this website for when the App using the QR code on the attached program becomes available.

We release students for The Otago Tertiary Day, but if students wish to visit or enrol with a tertiary provider outside of Dunedin, we encourage a physical visit. Students and parents are to make their own arrangements to attend these opportunities. You may be able to purchase reasonable flights if you book now, or carpool with other families if your son is considering tertiary study outside of Dunedin.
