On Thursday afternoon, the Year 10 Drama class took to the stage to represent OBHS at the regional SGCNZ Shakespeare Competition.
The boys performed a scene from Henry IV, which required an impressive understanding of the Bard’s language, as well as courage and commitment.
The experience extended beyond the stage, as the boys had the chance to watch over 30 performances from other Otago schools throughout the day.
Our student director, Jack Orlovich, demonstrated outstanding leadership, vision and maturity throughout the process. He guided his peers with clarity and respect, which lead to a cohesive and comical performance.
We are incredibly proud of the professionalism shown by the boys, as they represented the school well. Through this experience, they have grown significantly in confidence, skill and collaboration, and they should be proud of how far they have come.
