The Dunedin Orienteering is hosting another have a go day this Sunday morning (29 March) at Chingford Park.
10:30am -12:30 pm - Set up will be outside the Cricket Pavilion.
Gold coin donation to cover map printing.
This is a good chance for anyone interested in having a go at orienteering or rogaining to learn more about our sport in a non-pressured way.
We will start with a map walk so they can understand the unique maps we use
Then they can either have a go at a easy course or use the permanent course as a base for challenging their own skills.

Hopefully this weather continues :-). Open to all ages from pre-school to 90years+
This is a good refresher or introduction for all those students interested in competing in the upcoming school series across term 2.
We will have 4 events (starts all 10:30am - 1pm) before the Championships:
Sunday 3 May - Kings/Queen's/Bathgate/Tonga park
Sunday 10 May - Bethunes Gully/Forrester Park
Sunday 7 June - Zingari / South Cemetery/Southern Town Belt
Sunday 14 June - Waiora Scout Camp (TBC)
Otago Yr 7&8/ Secondary School Championships -
Saturday 27 June - Sprint - Waikouaiti Village 2-5pm followed by a fun night event on the same map.
Sunday 28 June - Long distance - Waikouaiti (Farmland) Times to be confirmed.
As always, all our events are open to the public, so anyone can come and have a go. We will have more details and registration links up soon.
Also, on Saturday 11 April we have a fun event in the closed off Queens Drive area to take advantage of the no traffic during the Active Travel Trial. Details can be found on our website closer to the time, but it's another opportunity for people to get out and explore our great city in a safe and unique way.
