Athletics Update

The Otago Children’s Athletics Club Championships, held on 21–22 March 2026, is a premier event on the regional athletics calendar. It brings together young athletes from across Otago to compete in a wide range of track and field events across multiple age grades.

Grade 13

Zian Kruger

Boys 800m 1st, Boys 1500m 1st, Boys 80m Hurdles 3rd, Boys 400m 3rd, Boys (Grade 13) 4 x 100m relay team 1st

Grade 14

Eli Olsen

Mini Multis

Mini Multis is an annual full-weekend event held in Dunedin, bringing together athletes from across the Otago region. Competitors take part in four events each day, with points awarded based on performance, similar to an octathlon scoring system, meaning every athlete has a strong opportunity to place overall.

In the Grade 14 division, Otago Boys’ High School achieved an outstanding clean sweep of the podium.
