“Waenga” Captivates and Challenges

On Thursday, our Te Reo Māori tauira (students) were proud to host Taki Rua Productions for a performance of their show, Waenga.

We were also delighted to welcome visiting students from St Hilda’s, Bayfield, and Otago Girls' High School to join us for this special event.

The production was fantastic, featuring provocative themes that challenged our tamariki to think critically about the complexities of the New Zealand criminal justice system. The high caliber of acting kept the audience engaged from start to finish.

He mihi nui (a big thank you) to all those involved in bringing this production to our kura. It was an enriching experience for everyone involved.
