This year's match between an OBHS Selection XI and the Roslyn Wakari Football Club was held on Sunday, 15th March.
Rod was a proud teacher, coach and player for many years before his untimely death.
It was a typical sunny Dunedin day at Roberts Park where a good crowd was treated to some fine football and conversation under the tents. Otago Boys' won 5 - 3 to bring the trophy back to school for 2026.
Jacqui Carter, Rod's sister was there to present the trophy to Fletcher Hawken and said she was delighted to see the spirit the game was played in to commemorate Rod's memory.
Thanks to the old boys who supplied the after match food while the school provided welcome refreshments after the match.
