Introducing Our New Form Leaders.
At Otago Boys' High School, we believe that the daily interactions within form time are the foundation of our school culture. This term, we are proud to introduce our newly appointed Form Leaders—a group of young men who have stepped forward to serve their peers and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within our school.
The Form Leader initiative is a key part of our commitment to fostering deeper connections and a sense of belonging across all year levels.
What will Form Leaders be doing?
To ensure form time is a dynamic and supportive space, our leaders will be responsible for two key weekly initiatives:
Weekly Activities: Each leader will facilitate a team-building activity designed to build class unity and ensure every boy feels part of the formclass.
Values Talking Points: Leaders will guide discussions centered on our core values—Perseverance, Excellence, Courage, Honour, and Respect—helping to translate these ideals into everyday actions.
In addition to these leadership tasks, Form Leaders will assist with daily standards, including uniform checks and supporting their peers with organizational habits like homework diary management.
These students have "put their hand up, not out" to take on a significant role in service to their form classes, acting as mentors and facilitators of our school values. Their willingness to lead through service is a testament to the character we strive to build here at Otago Boys'. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on the culture and brotherhood of their respective form classes.
