Our 17 soon to be 18-year-old son looking for some assistance to help him access life. His physical, mental and health challenges make it necessary to have assistance with most of his daily needs as he relies on a wheelchair and help from others.
We are seeking someone who has a desire to make a real difference in the life of another.
You will be a person who:
· Is empathetic and kind with excellent communication and time management skills
· Self-confident and trustworthy
· has a sense of humour and enjoys a good laugh
· does not panic and has (and uses) initiative
· who can problem solve
· must hold a current First Aid Certificate
· is patient, and it would be great if you loved rugby and loves discussing all aspects of the game.
We are looking for a person who is available between the hours of 9am and 3pm – Monday to Friday (daily hours will vary). You will be based in a family home with a dog in Belleknowes, Dunedin and be required to accompany Tom to various activities. Transportation is organised so no need for vehicle use or a driver’s licence.
It's not about your experience; it’s about being the right person – we can teach you all the other stuff. The successful person must have a rapport with Tom as he will be your boss!
Start late Jan 2026.
$26 - $28/hour
