Otago Boys' High School wishes to thank the Royal New Zealand Navy and PO Rianna Palmer, RNZN Regional Recruiting NCO (Dunedin), Directorate of Recruiting, for arranging the opportunity for our students to visit Te Kaha.
Last Friday morning, Fletcher Key, Quincy Makiiti, Callum Kenton, Maddox Smith, and I joined Rianna for an informative and engaging tour aimed at students considering a future pathway in the Navy. Seeing behind the scenes as the ship prepared to host a formal function on Friday evening and an Open Day on Saturday was a privilege. To say that our students were engaged is an understatement.
We look forward to hosting the New Zealand Defence Force at senior assembly and course selection evenings again next year. Senior students should keep an eye on their emails in 2026 to register for opportunities such as this one.
