After seeing the article about Oak Chisholm, McIndoe House Golden Phoenix 2025, the parent of the inaugural winner of this award, Reuben Cook, got in touch to update us on her son’s progress and to thank the school for the work it does to ensure boys reach their potential.
Reuben is now in his final year at Princeton University in the USA and will graduate at the end of May with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Molecular Biology. We are very proud of how he has managed the academic intensity of his degree alongside a demanding rowing schedule.
Reuben is captain of the lightweight rowing team this year and will compete in his final National Collegiate Championships after graduation. He has rowed at the Henley Royal Regatta for Princeton and Thames Rowing Club and has been named on the All-American Ivy First Team and twice on the All-American Second Team. It has been an amazing, challenging, and rewarding experience for him.
