Our final Senior Assembly for 2025 was a poignant occasion, highlighted by the presentation of two of our most special awards. These awards honor students who truly embody the spirit and core values of Otago Boys' High School.
The Clive Rennie Courage Award
The Clive Rennie Courage Award was presented to Thomas Cargill.
Thomas has been a shining example of the school's values throughout his five years at OBHS. He has consistently demonstrated the true character of a "Man of Oak," showing remarkable perseverance. Thomas is an extremely worthy recipient of this honour.
The Stuart Stevenson Award
The highly-regarded Stuart Stevenson Award was presented to Flynn MacGill Brown.
Uniquely, the recipient of this award is chosen through a vote by his peers—the entire Year 13 group. This selection process underscores the significance of the award, which recognises a student for outstanding character and all that it represents. Flynn's dedication to his fellow students and his exceptional conduct have clearly resonated with his year group.
Our warmest congratulations to both Tom and Flynn. They are two very deserving young men whose achievements and character beautifully exemplify the spirit and values of OBHS.
