Exam Preparation:
Getting on top of revision is crucial for success. Smart, consistent strategies make all the difference. Start small and stay consistent, just 10 minutes of revision per subject each night can build lasting understanding and reduce last-minute stress. A more detailed study guide can be found on our school website here.
Study Focus and Resources:
Know exactly what topics you’ll be tested on. Use textbooks, class notes, and recommended online resources, and revisit past assignments. All essential materials and information are available through Google Classroom.
Time Management:
Help your child plan a balanced study schedule across all subjects. Regular breaks and plenty of sleep improve focus and memory.
Support and Guidance:
Encourage your child to talk with teachers whenever they need clarification or support. If your son is showing signs of anxiety or distress about exams, please contact our Guidance department or his Dean.
Whānau Power:
Family support is invaluable. Ask your child to explain key topics to you, teaching others is one of the most effective ways to consolidate understanding.
Exam Day Tips:
1. Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep the day before the exam.
2. Provide a nutritious breakfast to help them stay focused.
3. Have your son pack all necessary materials, such as pens, pencils, calculators and any other resources they may need for their exams.
Thank you for your continued support to ensure your son’s success in these upcoming school exams.
