Congratulations to the following students who have been named Students of the Term for Term 3.

Year 9

Tāmati Matthews

A mature and thoughtful leader: Tāmati is a genuinely responsible, kind, and mature student who consistently puts others first and takes immense pride in his learning. He leads by example, demonstrating our school values in everything he does. Tāmati's maturity and thoughtful leadership make him an extremely positive role model within his classes and the wider school whānau.

Year 10

Arrsalan Nayle

Dedicated and inquisitive learner: Arrsalan is a student who consistently works hard both in and out of the classroom. He always arrives to class ready to learn and diligently completes the work set. Arrsalan is a truly engaged student, always actively listening and answering questions, as well as forming insightful questions of his own when unsure. He is very helpful and demonstrates all the qualities of a good, emerging leader.

Year 11

Lorenzo Reburiano

Positive, supportive, and enthusiastic: Lorenzo is a wonderfully positive, supportive, and generous person. He truly throws himself into everything, eagerly takes opportunities, and is genuinely appreciative of all around him. Lorenzo will consistently go out of his way for others and is very tolerant. He is driven to strive to be the very best he can be in all his pursuits.

Year 12

Oban Voice

Humble achiever and great team player: Oban is a fantastic student who is a great team player and strives for personal excellence. He is respectful, humble, and hardworking. Oban is a highly engaged member of the school community, serving on the student council, acting as a librarian, and playing in the jazz band. Oban is very helpful, mixes well with his peers and the junior students, and is a consistent participant in house activities for Saxton. He is an all-around great young man who consistently holds himself to a high standard.

Year 13

Lucas Gibson

Dedicated, insightful and kind: Lucas is an outstanding individual—a polite, dedicated, and engaged student who consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic in class. He readily seeks help when unsure, showing a genuine commitment to his learning. Lucas is also mature, kind, and hardworking. He engages in meaningful and mature conversation around his achievement, how he can improve, and gives insightful comments on what he has learned. He has a great sense of humour, and is respectful, proactive, and quick to take initiative in helping out without being asked.
