Teacher Taster Camp at Telford

What a fantastic way to spend part of the school holidays!

I had the exciting opportunity to attend a special teacher "taster" camp at Telford, joining six other teachers from around Aotearoa.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and gave us an in-depth look at the diverse range of courses offered at Telford, showing us exactly what a student's day-to-day life is like.

We rolled up our sleeves and got hands-on with some amazing workshops! Highlights included:

• Delivering a calf using a realistic, life-size model.

• Horse riding and equine work.

• A vehicle safety session that quickly became a favourite—especially the exciting motorbike ride!

Telford is all about practical, hands-on learning, with courses spanning farm systems and operating heavy equipment, to equine work and wool technology.
