Students Scale New Heights

Flynn Richards (Year 11) and Luca Verheul (Year 12) have been selected for the New Zealand U19 Climbing Squad.

A massive congratulations is in order for Flynn and Luca, who have achieved an incredible feat by being selected for the New Zealand U19 Climbing Development Squad.

This is a testament to their dedication and skill, as selection is highly exclusive, with only five talented young climbers chosen nationwide. Their place in this squad immediately catapults them into the realm of top-level competition.

The U19 Development Squad is designed to nurture New Zealand's future elite climbers. For Flynn and Luca, this means they will now be targeting significant events on the international stage, including Continental championships, future Youth World Championships, and potentially even working towards Olympic selection further down the line.

The entire school community is immensely proud of Flynn and Luca for this outstanding achievement and wish them all the very best as they pursue these thrilling new competitive pathways.
