Silence.
I believe there is power in silence. And today, I want to talk about silence, even though it’s something we don’t often talk about.
We live in a noisy world that keeps getting louder, and I think silence is becoming rare. Try to remember the last time you were truly in a place of silence—when you were alone without your phone, without music, no distractions, and still fully awake. Even then, our heads are often filled with worries, thoughts, and feelings, so we aren’t really in a place of silence.
But why would we even want silence? The world around us seems to tell us that the most powerful voice is the loudest voice. And besides, silence can feel uncomfortable. We aren’t used to it; our lives are so busy and full of constant noise. Doesn’t silence mean emptiness and being alone? If we aren’t always busy doing things and surrounded by others, how can we feel content?
But in silence, we can finally escape our busy world, reflect, and listen. Silence doesn’t have to be empty—it can be full of power. And I believe that in silence, we can find God.
