CAA Reading/Writing and Numeracy Assessments in Week 9

Important Information for all students completing the CAA Reading/Writing and Numeracy Assessments in week 9.

The following message contains important information for all Year 10-13 students sitting their upcoming CAA assessments. If students are not sitting the Reading or Writing CAA exam they have a late start on those days. All normal Year 10 class run from P3-5 on Thursday the 11th of Sept. All timings and information can be found here

Reading CAA
Wednesday, 10th September
Meet in the Auditorium at 8:50am- Test Start: 9:30am 

Numeracy CAA
Wednesday, 10th September
Meet in the Library at 11:50 am- Test Start: 12 (Noon)

Writing CAA

Thursday, 11th September
Meet in the Auditorium at 9:15 am- Test Start: 9:30am 

What to Bring:

  • A fully charged laptop

  • A pair of headphones

  • A positive mindset

Check whether you're sitting one or both of these assessments. You can do this by logging into the NZQA website and clicking on the entries section and scrolling to the bottom of the page. 

Please leave your bag on the shelves outside the library.
Use the toilet before arriving at the auditorium.

Once you're seated, final instructions will be given, and you'll be directed to your assigned room.

Students who need extra time will be allowed to continue.

By now, you should have:

  • Reviewed the CAA information on the school website:

  • Viewed the class presentation (was shown this week):
    CAA Presentation 

  • Logged into the NZQA platform to familiarise yourself with the exam layout and access process.
