On Wednesday, 3 September, we will be holding our Senior Course Information Evening for students in Years 11 to 13 in 2026.
This evening is specifically designed for you and your son to kick-start the process of deciding which subjects to study next year. We strongly encourage both students and parents to attend this event.
We understand that there might be issues if your son is a hostel student. If you're unable to attend, we urge you to review the curriculum map and course information booklets available on the school website found here: Curriculum Map and Course Information Booklets and discuss subject choices.
For current Year 11 or 12 students who are already familiar with NCEA, the initial hour from 6pm to 7pm is dedicated to meeting with teachers and careers advisors the library and surrounding classrooms. If more time is needed, you're welcome to stay longer.
If you're interested in learning more about NCEA, there will be an information session in the auditorium at 6pm. This session will outline how NCEA works and offer considerations to keep in mind when selecting courses for 2026 and strongly recommended for all whanau of Year 10 students.
Schedule:
Year 10
6:00 pm – Subject Selection/NCEA Information in the auditorium, followed by a subject information session in the library and surrounding classrooms.
Year 11 and 12
6:00–7:30 pm – Subject information session in the library and surrounding classrooms.
The deadline for selecting subjects is Wednesday, the 17th of September. This gives you ample time to decide and provides us with the flexibility to plan for the 2026 timetable. Instructions on how to make selections are available in the subject information booklets on the school website through the provided link.
