Last week, six of our talented Year 11 Geography students showcased their geographic knowledge at the regional Maatangi Whenua Geography Quiz.

This fast-paced and competitive event challenged students across a range of topics, from extreme natural events and current affairs to complex geographic concepts. One memorable round even required them to use playdough. The students also tackled topographic map skills and emoji interpretation, making the quiz both demanding and fun.

We are incredibly proud of all our students for their hard work and impressive results. The team of Robert, Luke, and Sam placed an impressive second, while Daniel, Seb, and Sam weren't far behind, securing fourth place. This is an awesome achievement from our up-and-coming geographers—ka pai!

We're now eagerly awaiting the national results to see their overall placing. A huge congratulations to all our students for their outstanding effort!
