Alex Glover shines at Highland Dancing Nationals

During the school holidays, Year 12 student Alex Glover attended the Highland Dancing Nationals, hosted by Canterbury West Coast in Christchurch.

Competing in the highly competitive Under 18 years age group, Alex danced in 10 events over two and a half days—an impressive achievement in itself. His talent and hard work shone through, with placings in 8 of the 10 dances.

The standout moment of the competition came when Alex took first place in the New Zealand Under 18 Irish Hornpipe, marking his very first national title win. This was a major highlight for Alex, who has dedicated countless hours to perfecting his craft through rigorous training and unwavering commitment.
