Academic Coaching Day

By Richard Harvey | Posted: Thursday July 17, 2025

On Friday, August 1st, students in Years 11 to 13 will not be attending their regular classes. Instead, they will schedule a 20-minute, in-person appointment with their respective form teacher.

We strongly encourage parents and caregivers to participate in these appointments. Please have a conversation with your son to determine a suitable time for your in-person attendance, or feel free to contact his form teacher to arrange an appointment slot directly.

This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss your sons overall academic progress towards his NCEA qualification, rather than focusing on individual subjects. The conversation will centre on his academic progress, the upcoming school and NCEA exams, goals, and future pathways. As form teachers have a holistic understanding of his learning, they can offer valuable insights.

As this is a formal school occasion, students must wear their uniform. For the remainder of the day, it is expected that students will remain at home and use their time to study and work towards any outstanding internal assessments.

Please contact your sons form teacher, in the first instance if you have any questions.

Year 9 and 10 students will attend school as normal on this day.
