Last Wednesday, Toby Ollerenshaw and I were fortunate enough to be invited onto the Channel 3 show 7 Days.
We were flown up and had a once-in-a-lifetime experience getting to see what it’s like behind the scenes, in front of the camera, and on set.
The reason for our appearance was our participation in Shave for a Cure, through which our school raised an incredible $21,465! As guests on the show, we had bags placed over our heads and the panel of comedians had to guess why we had recently been in the news. After some joking around, they eventually figured it out, and we had a chance to chat with them for a few minutes before wrapping up.
It was a hilarious and amazing experience to be part of such a cool show. We’re both incredibly grateful for the opportunity to appear on national television and will always remember it. A huge thank you to the 7 Days team for making us feel so welcome, and to everyone who supported Shave for a Cure and helped make it such a success.
We never expected it to gain this much attention, but I’m so thankful it has. Hopefully, we can continue to support this cause for years to come and contribute to the fight against leukaemia and blood cancer.
