The Otago Boys’ High School Board is looking to co-opt two new members - and we’re reaching out to our wider Dunedin community to find the right people to join the team.
You won’t need to stand for election - just put your hand up and bring your strengths to the table. We’re especially keen to hear from people with backgrounds in trades, small business, finance, governance, or leadership, and anyone who wants to give back through service.
What we’re looking for:
Financial planning skills
Governance/disciplinary experience
A strong sense of service
A connection to OBHS or desire to contribute
Based in Dunedin
You don’t need to be a current parent, just someone who wants to contribute to something meaningful for the next generation of young men at our school. From practical hands-on help to strategic governance, your skills can make a real difference.
The term is 12 to 18 months, and includes:
One short committee meeting per month
One full board meeting every 5–6 weeks
Reading materials in advance and being ready to contribute
Maintaining confidentiality
A small attendance fee is offered
