Mixing It Up

On Thursday, the senior boys got to test out University of Otago's world class recording suite.

The boys all recorded one of their performance pieces, and saw what is possible when you have great technicians, gear, and facilities. Hearing yourself and the click-track coming through the headphones as you perform in a sound-treated isolation booth, definitely takes some getting used to. 

Some gravitated to the sound desk and took it all in, while others tried out the instruments, amps, and effects. A massive thank you goes out to Hugh Harlow and Dr Michael Holland for giving their time and expertise, and allowing us to have this experience. As the Shand building continues to take shape, it gave me plenty of ideas of what is possible, and what to sneak onto the wishlist.
