Information Regarding Upcoming Parent Interviews - June 2025

We are writing to inform you about our upcoming parent-teacher interviews for Term 2, 2025. These interviews provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's progress and learning with their teachers.

The interview dates and times are as follows:

• Tuesday, 3rd of June (Week 6): In-person interviews at school.

  • 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm 

• Wednesday, 18th of June (Week 8): In-person interviews at school.

  • 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm 

• Monday, 23rd of June (Week 9): Online interviews 

  • 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm 

On interview days, the school day will finish early at 1:25 pm after Period 4 to accommodate the interview schedule.

Please note: Interviews will be held in classrooms and the library, not the school gym. A map is attached below.

Booking Your Interview Slots:

1. To book your interview times, please visit the School Interviews website:https://www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/

2. Click on the box labelled ‘Make a booking’ and enter the Event code: 94usv

3. Click ‘Go’ and follow the instructions provided to select your preferred time slots for each of your child's teachers.

4. The booking system will be closed 24 hrs before the session so teachers can be prepared for their bookings. 

As this is the first time we are trialling online interviews for this round, it is important to note a few key points regarding privacy and the administration of these interviews. 

Administration of Interviews 

Although the interviews are scheduled for 10 minutes, they will likely run for about 7 minutes. This allows teachers time to finish one interview and regroup before starting the next. 

As there will be other people waiting for their scheduled time slot, all interviews will finish before the 10-minute mark to ensure the flow of interviews continues smoothly and to avoid any backlogs. 

The system we are using is relatively straightforward, and you will be guided through the process once your bookings are confirmed. We recommend setting up for the online meetings at least 10 minutes before your first scheduled interview to ensure you are familiar with the process and ready to begin on time.

Privacy Information Regarding Parent Interviews:

We are committed to protecting your privacy and that of our students and staff.

• Collection of Information: When you make a booking through the School Interviews platform, the information you provide (such as your name, your child's name, and contact details) is collected solely for the purpose of scheduling and managing the parent-teacher interviews.

• Data Security: School Interviews employs security measures to protect the personal information collected through their platform (https://www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/privacy). If you are interested, you can review their privacy policy, which can be found on their website. 

• Recording of Interviews: Please note that it is the school's policy that audio or video recording of parent-teacher interviews by parents or staff is not permitted without the explicit prior consent of all parties involved. This is to ensure a comfortable and open environment for discussion and to protect the privacy of both staff and parents. Any recording without consent would be a breach of privacy.

• Use of Information: The information gathered during the interviews will be used by teachers to inform their understanding of your child's learning and to plan future instruction. Any notes taken by teachers during the interviews are considered school records and will be managed in accordance with our school's record-keeping policies and relevant privacy legislation.

• Online Interviews: For the online interviews, we will be using ‘Google Meet’. We will ensure that the platform used has appropriate security measures in place to protect the privacy of the online interactions. Please be mindful of your surroundings during the online interview to maintain privacy.
