Term 2 - Week 2
URGENT ATTENTION LAST CHANCE - Meningitis can be deadly.
Please contact Susan if you want your son to have his flu shot or his Meningitis vaccination, these will be administered next week. If you prefer to keep your own G.P. you can enrol at the Maori Hill Clinic as a casual patient for this service. Please note you must be on their database for them to administer the vaccines, otherwise, you need to arrange for these to be done yourself through your home Doctor and let me know.
Great work by Marley Leevey, Tamati Taylor and Gus Attenborough who are attending the Nga Manu Korero Wananga in preparation for the upcoming Te Reo Speech competition. Good luck lads.
Congratulations to Thomson House who after some fierce rivalry has taken out the Mitchell Cup Rowing competition.
New acoustic guitars are available for any boy wanting to have a go. They are in the McLeod room. Ask Kaiau, our music prefect, or Stanton, our house master if you want some tips.
Man of the Week - Jack James
Jack is always polite and pleasant. He is well organised and manages to stay
on task. We enjoy his presence around the hostel, keep on being a fine example Jack.
Reminder - King's Birthday working bee.
Chainsaws, wheelbarrows and a bit of muscle required. We appreciate your help and the positive comments received about some areas that are already noticeably better. We are all enjoying the benefits of having some big trees removed enabling more sunlight to filter in.
Last Week's newsletter said Monday from 9am Please note, that is for those who live close by. We understand many of you have 2 or 3 hours to travel and may not be able to get here until 11am or midday. Please email Susan if you can help. Thank you.
