BMX Nationals

A big congratulations to our boys who competed in the 2025 BMX National Championships in Invercargill on 22-23rd March.

Day one was very wet and miserable, but day two conditions were much better and we even had some sun.

Deegan McCormick competed in two classes: the 16yr Boys class and the 15-24yr Cruiser class. He was looking good going into a very competitive 16yr boys final, but unfortunately, got caught up with another rider in the first corner and went down, though he still managed to finish with an NZ8 plate in the 16yr Boys class.

Next up was another competitive class, the cruisers, where he managed to secure a podium finish and gain an NZ3 in the 15-24yr Cruiser class.

Charlie Leyser competed in the 15yr Boys class. Again, it was a very competitive age group where Charlie rode extremely well and took out an NZ6

Lucas Wetere competed in the 13yr Boys. Lucas rode extremely well and made it into the Semi Finals, but unfortunately just missed out on making it into the finals.

It was a fantastic weekend of racing for these three boys on the NZ stage.
