Lockdown Drill Update

By Richard Harvey | Posted: Wednesday April 9, 2025

On Wednesday, our school carried out a planned lockdown drill to ensure our students and staff are well-prepared in the unlikely event of a real emergency.

We’re pleased to report that the drill went very smoothly. Our students were calm, cooperative, and well-behaved throughout.

New Zealand Police were present to oversee the process and were positive about how the drill was conducted. We value their guidance and always take their advice seriously when reviewing our safety procedures.

As part of the drill, whānau should have received a text message and an email notification. If you did not receive either, please take a moment to check and update your contact details through the school’s parental portal to ensure you stay informed in the future.

While this was only a drill, our priority in any real situation would be to communicate with whānau as quickly and clearly as possible. Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our school community safe.
