A weekend of PB's for Declan

We would like to celebrate the achievements of Year 9 student, Declan Roulston.

Declan competed this past weekend in the 2025 Apollo Projects Division 11 Swimming Competition held in Auckland.

He demonstrated incredible skill and dedication in his races, achieving impressive results:

• 50m Freestyle: Placed 7th with a new personal best (PB) of -0.64 seconds

• 200m Backstroke: Placed 4th with a new PB of -5.60 seconds

• 100m Backstroke: Placed 1st with a new PB of -3.76 seconds

Declan has also qualified for the prestigious 2025 Apollo Projects NZ Age Group Swimming Championships, set to take place from April 13-17 in Hawkes Bay. He has earned spots in the following events:

• 50m Backstroke

• 100m Backstroke

• 200m Backstroke
