Rod Byers Memorial Match

The annual Rod Byers Memorial match took place at Roberts Park on Sunday, bringing together OBHS and Roslyn Wakari Football Clubs in a spirited display of competition and camaraderie.

The match, played each year between current students and former players, honours the memory of Rod Byers, a beloved teacher and coach who had a lasting impact on both OBHS students and the Roslyn Football Club before his untimely passing.

This year, Rod’s sister Jackie was present to award the trophy to the OBHS Old Boys, who claimed victory for 2025.
