Outdoor First Aid

Our Year 13 Outdoor Education students recently completed an Outdoor First Aid Course, building on their knowledge from the Workplace First Aid course and applying it in an outdoor setting.

This course emphasised assessing available resources and improvising where necessary—essential skills for those venturing into the great New Zealand outdoors.

Earning five Level Three credits, this qualification is highly valuable, especially as these students prepare for upcoming tramping expeditions and off-site practicals. Using the town belt as their training ground, they worked through realistic scenarios, reinforcing their ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Well done to all involved in gaining this important certification!
