McIndoe House Leaders

We would like to introduce the McIndoe House Leaders for 2025.

Our House Captain, Nirbighna Acharya not only fully embraces the school values, he was chosen due to his confident manner and enthusiasm for all things McIndoe. Nirbighna’s form teacher also spoke to his ability to unify others and the fact that he leads by example. This made Nirbighna the perfect fit for House Captain.

Cameron Brown and Ashton Hansen both brought many great ideas to interview for how to motivate the McIndoe boys to victory. We were impressed by the experience in leadership roles that they bring to the house and firmly believe that they will be a great support to Nirbighna as Deputy House Captains.

This year’s Sports and Chant Leader is Nicholas Thom, a young man capable of leading the other boys in these areas. We were impressed by the number of different ideas he had for increasing participation and improving motivation in McIndoe House.

Cultural Leader is an important role in the house. Showing leadership from as early as Year 10 when he presented the new values badges scheme to McIndoe house juniors, Tamati Taylor will take the lead in this important area and lead the McIndoe whanau in the haka competition. He is capably supported by Alex Corbett who already has a start on organising our new Year 9 boys to learn the haka.

Finn Marshall leads the service team and it is clear to us that he has the ability to organise and inspire the boys to give great service to our school and whanau whanui. Working alongside him are Jack Ussher and Will Munro. We were impressed by the number of new ideas that they all brought to the table.  

Another major competition is the House Singing. Oli MacKenzie leads a team of talented musicians and will work alongside Richard Peng and Dallas Pankhurst. Their combined musical experience will hopefully make a big difference to our performance in the competition.

A number of other boys take on a leadership role in their form classes and these are the Form Class Captains and Deputy Captains for 2025.
