It's a shore thing 2025

Another great day out for biology.

On Wednesday, our first group of Year 12 classes were out investigating and exploring the ecology of the Dunedin rocky shore and intertidal zone at the University of Otago's Marine Studies Centre.

This work is part of our biology internals 2.6 Between the Tides and 2.3 Feeding and Nutrition. The emphasis in these standards is for the student to investigate a pattern (or its absence) in an ecological community with reference to an environmental factor and the biology of interrelated organisms of different species. Wow, flash!

It was an enjoyable day collecting data. Teacher can't wait to read the reports!
