This week, the 2024 NCEA Scholarship exam results were released, and we are delighted to share the outstanding achievements of our students.
12 of our students earned a total of 18 Scholarships across 12 different subject areas, demonstrating their dedication and academic excellence.
This year, two students achieved an ‘Outstanding’ Scholarship: Lachie Hall in English, and Thomas Hayman in Statistics.
This success is a testament to the hard work and perseverance of our students, the support of their teachers, and the encouragement from whānau. We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this achievement, including those who embraced the challenge of Scholarship exams and embodied our school value of courage.
Gaining a Scholarship is an impressive accomplishment, placing these students among the top 3% in New Zealand in their respective subjects. This achievement not only highlights individual excellence, but also reflects the strength of academic talent within the Otago Boys’ High School community. We take immense pride in this collective success and look forward to further accomplishments in 2025.
These students will be recognised at our upcoming Scholars' Assembly next Tuesday. Below is the list of our 2024 Scholarship recipients.
