Get outside and race your friends!
If the sky is clear and blue, what are you doing if you're not living in it! During the school holidays, I know how boring it can get sometimes. Days will pass, and you have done nothing but waste time scrolling on your phone. Well, if that sounds like you, or you’ve got nothing to do, I am here to save your school holidays.
Race across Dunedin with some friends. This is a perfect opportunity to spend time with friends and get outside and get moving! First of all, you have to choose a start and finish line (e.g. St. Clair Beach to the Meridian Mall) and set a few rules. For example, no public transport, staying within a budget, and so on.
Plus, you don't have to spend a single dollar! It is all up to you and your friends on how much your budget will be. However, I would bring some money to cool off with a chilled drink at the end. Also, keep in mind that depending on your start and finish location, it may take a few hours.
When I tried this out with my friends, it was an experience like no other. We began at Dinosaur Park (Marlow Park Playground) and ran all the way to the McDonalds on George Street. We went to places that we had never been before, and we found a luscious park with trees surrounding it that looked really cool.
So, if what I have explained sounds like you would have a good time, why don't you give it a shot? A race across Dunedin is exciting, fun, cheap, and a great way to spend your time. So, it’s time to get out of the house during the school holidays and RACE ACROSS DUNEDIN!
