Pasifika opportunity

On Tuesday Jenny Bennett and her team came to speak about the Pacific Health Science Academies programme being piloted by the University of Otago.

This Pasifika focussed initiative by Te Whatu Ora aims to introduce Pacific students to careers in the health sector and to nurture and support their interest in the Health Sciences.

Jenny is a trained teacher with fifteen years of experience working with Pacific youth in primary, secondary and tertiary education and is passionate about helping young people realise and achieve their potential.

Jenny will be back in 2025 to introduce this to our new to school Year 9's at our first Pasifika Fono on the 4th of February.
