EarthFest 2024

EarthFest is a chance for members of the public, especially Tamariki and their families, to get up close and personal with the earth sciences and meet people working in its many different fields.

Don't miss EarthFest: the Festival of Earth Science, 9am-3pm Saturday, 23 November at the Hutton Theatre, Tūhura Otago Museum. Part science festival, part careers expo, there’s sure to be something for everyone!

The festival will feature a range of interactive exhibits through which people can explore the processes that drive our Earth, the technologies we use to study them, and the many different careers and skills that contribute to this important work. From ancient rocks and polar ice to earthquakes and active volcanoes, EarthFest 2024 will showcase the Earth as we know it through interactive displays, augmented reality experiences, games, tabletop experiments, panel discussions, and more!
