Mercy Centre of Learning Prizegiving

On Thursday evening the final prizegiving for the year for the Mercy Centre of Learning was held.

Mercy Hospital CEO Mr Richard Whitney said "Health and education are intertwined" a sentiment championed by the Reverend Alofa Lale who for the last 8 years has been running this programme. This initiative has provided a safe one on one tutorial learning environment for our Pasifika boys and the results of this has been clearly evident in our boys academic success.

This year Tepuretu Piri came in top with a cash prize scholarship of $1000, followed by John Pupualii, Itaia Chapman and Micah Puni receiving $500 towards their tertiary education.

Thank you, Mercy, for all your support and I look forward to bringing you our next cohort for 2025.
