Gateway placement 2024 - Jaxon Maze

This year for Gateway I have been placed at Stevenson and Williams buiIders.

I have been fortunate enough to work at the same site for my placement and have had a big role in a new home build down the peninsula.

My favourite part about my Gateway experience is being able to meet and grow strong relationships with the people I meet and work with on the site. While on placement I have learnt how to build many individual sections of a house.

My key takeaways from my Gateway placement consist of traits I have learnt outside of swinging a hammer. I have gained experience in the workforce, learnt how to problem solve and most importantly how to grow relationships and connections with co-workers.

I am grateful for the Gateway experience, and at the completion of Year 13, I will go into a full time apprenticeship with Stevenson and Williams. A big thank you to Aaron and the team for making this possible for me!
