A remarkable achievement

Year 12 student Sef Johnston has been selected for the New Zealand U18 Men’s Ice Hockey team!

Sef will be heading to Mexico City in March 2025, where he will compete against national teams from Mexico, Turkey, Great Britain, Israel, Hong Kong, and Iceland. Notably, he is one of only two boys from Dunedin chosen for this prestigious team.

Sef's journey in ice hockey has been nothing short of inspiring. Over the past five years, he has dedicated countless hours to honing his skills, spending time in the shooting gallery and maximizing his on-ice practice. His commitment has transformed him from a beginner to one of the best U18 forwards in New Zealand.

His hard work and determination serve as a powerful example for all. We wish Sef the best of luck as he represents the country on the international stage!
