Rodeo teams Australian experience

I was selected, along with 14 other riders, for the 2024/25 New Zealand High School rodeo team.

We represented New Zealand in a youth trans-Tasman competition in Queensland, Australia. I competed in the Bareback Bronc riding event.

Our team had an amazing experience and competed at three rodeos: Kenilworth, Calliope and Imbil. Although we put up a great fight, Australia ultimately won the challenge this time.

The competition isn't over yet. In January 2025, the Australian team will be coming to New Zealand for round two of the challenge in the North Island. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to ride again and show our Kiwi spirit!
